What a nice tree!!!
I was delighted when we put up this tree -- really nice! And I absolutely love the ability to put on clear or colored lights (I like to put both on at once). The tree has a lot of prescence. I agree with the other reviewers who said that the cascading light effect looked choppy, but the tree is so nice that I just don't bother using that effect. Comes with a nice remote. Make sure to fluff the branches when you get it. And the tree is kind of huge (ha! ha!), but so nice!

Alaskan Christmas Tree
The tree arrived in two days and needed two people to pick it up, though I dragged it in the house and was able to open the box. It came out in three pieces, and snapped together easiely. The hardest part was figuring out which light plugs where, but once I figured out the brown plug went in the brown slot and the green plug went in the green slots, it was easy. My only disappointment: 1) was my family tree topper was too heavy for this tree, 2) the lights don't twinkle. Other than that once fluffed and branches pulled down in an irregular fashion it looks better than a real tree. My daughter saw it and ordered one! I didn't even use the extra lights that came with it. It's gorgeous! Well worth the money.

Great tree with many lighting options
Aftre reading earlier reviewes, we decided to get this tree. It was very easy to setup, although I recommend having two people put it together based on the weight of the pieces.

The lighting options are great, and the white and colored lights can both be on at the same time, and can be set to different lighting options (for example, white lights on, and colored lights cascading). The remote control is easy to use, and allowed us to turn the tree on/off or change the lighting options easily without having to crawl under or behind the tree as we did with prior trees.

Even without any additional decoration, this tree looks finished. Of course, adding standard decorations such as tinsel and ornaments does make it feel more personal.

SPECTACULAR!!!
I'm not sure how it could be better. It is big and heavy to move, but that means it doesn't tip or get knocked around by the kids or the cats. The lights work perfectly and they send a lot of extras. My whole family was impressed. I think the 9 ft measurment is before the stand though so be careful of that.

Finally, A Real QUALITY Pre-Lit Tree w/ Clear & Multi-Colored Lights!
My wife and I hesitated a bit about buying this tree at first. It was listed here on Amazon for 9.99, plus an extra .95 for shipping, even though we have a Prime account. We have purchased a few different artificial Christmas trees over the past 15 years of our marriage; although this is our first pre-lit tree. It seems as though every 3 to 5 years we have to buy a new tree because the average store-bought trees are just not made of high quality materials. Pieces break and come apart, and it always takes at least a couple of hours to string the darn lights! Our average tree purchase ranged between 0 and 0. We were finally ready to purchase a pre-lit tree, and we were ready to spend some extra cash for a quality product, but this Barcana Alaskan Christmas tree did not have any reviews yet on Amazon.com. We searched all over the Internet and found nothing but good reviews about Barcana pre-lit trees.

We decided to purchase the tree, thinking that it would take at least a week or better to receive it. We ordered it on a Friday evening and received the tree that following Tuesday! I still can't believe the speed of Amazon's shipping! The box arrived without a scratch so we eagerly tore it open to setup our new tree. There are very few pieces to this package. A two piece, heavy duty stand simply snaps together. The tree itself is in three pieces; the bottom two portions have hinged branches. We had the entire tree fully assembled in less than 15 minutes! It took my wife nearly an hour to "fluff" all of the branches; pulling and shaping all of the stems to give a natural, full appearance. The tree comes with a Barcana "Light Changer" power controller, which has six outlets and a remote sensor on a lengthy green cable. The six outlets are split into two different banks of three; each bank color coded to seperate the clear and multi-colored light strands. You simply match the colors of each plug to the coordinating power socket. It's that simple. You then attach the remote sensor to one of the tree branches, via the attached alligator clip. Install two AA alkaline batteries into the provided remote control (batteries NOT included) and you are ready to bring your new tree to life.

Now that we have finished setting up our new Barcana 7.5 ft. Alaskan Christmas tree, and have been enjoying it for a couple of days, we couldn't be happier with our purchase. Every part of this package is high quality. It is extremely easy and quick to setup. With a total of 1600 pre-strung lights this tree puts out a nice amount of light. The handy remote control makes it simple and fun to operate the lighting features of the tree. The remote allows you to control the clear and multi-colored lights seperately. The basic remote functions controls constant on (and off), blinking, fading and cascading. My only complaint about this tree is the lack of light control. Although you can blink and fade the lights, you cannot control the speed (which is rather slow!). My wife and I do not like the cascade feature at all. We thought the lights would cascade down the tree, but instead each section of the tree lights up and then goes dark once the next section lights. This creates large blocks of light and dark sections on the tree, split into thirds. It's hard to explain in words, so you really have to see it to understand. It is really quite unattractive. If the remote allowed speed control of the blinking and fading of lights, this tree package would be perfect!

We are still giving this Barcana tree 5 stars due to the heavy duty, high quality materials. The tree stands a perfect 7.5 feet, from the bottom of the stand to the very tip of the top vertical stem. We measured and confirmed an almost perfect 60 inch circumference at the base of the tree. This tree weighs nearly 80 pounds, with the majority of the weight being in the bottom two sections. Although it can definately be setup by one person, it goes much easier with two people. I am confident that this tree will last us for many, many years. It may be the last Christmas tree we ever have to purchase. It comes with everything you need, including spare bulbs, two spare strands of lights (one clear and one multi-colored), and even comes with a storage bag to pack everything away in after the holiday season. I highly recommend this Barcana tree to anyone that is looking for extremely high quality and wants both clear and multi-colored lights (and plenty of them!).

Oh, just one more thing. Remember I said that we paid 9.99 (plus shipping) for this item? Well Amazon.com reduced the price to 4.99 just 5 days after we purchased it! I was a bit upset at first but one simple call to Amazon customer service and they credited our credit card the difference on the spot. Amazon customer service is AWESOME! I have been and will remain a loyal customer of Amazon.com. =o)

Good deal
I am very happy with the tree I purchased from Good Tidings. We didn't have any problems putting the tree together and found we really didn't need the instructions. The tree is in three sections and it slides together very easily. I do have to admit I was a bit concerned when the tree arrived. The box it was packaged in looked like it had been through a rock tumbler. Happily, the tree inside was in perfect condition.

Defective order a week before company
I started putting this tree together and it promised to be really beautiful. As I proceeded to add the middle section to the pole -- I couldn't!!!! The pole sizes do not fit inside one another, there are no brackets, and the instructions do not match this tree. Discouragingly, it looks as if this very tree may have been a return as the poles are already scuffed up a bit. Perhaps I received someone else's return. This is incredibly frustrating a week before company is arriving, and do you know how hard it is to return a Christmas tree! Furthermore, the instruction sheet gives no help line to call. I realize that all online orders carry some amount of risk that something like this will happen, but I've been ordering from [...] since they first started business in something like 1997, and it has just been within the last couple of years that I've received defective items. I'm very disappointed in this product.

My pretty tree
I have always had a real tree but had to buy a fake one. This tree looks like an old fashioned fir tree and was perfect for my ornaments. I did not miss having to put the lights on it. A lot of my decorations are heavy and it was always a challenge to find the right branch to support each one. Not a problem with this tree. My guests thought it was real until I told them it wasn't. Now I just need a way to get that real tree smell. The gap between the top and the rest of the tree is a bit large, other than that it looked great.

Even Charley Brown would laugh at this one
I bought this "0.00" tree for .99 around Christmas time. I see it's now around 0. At it was overpriced.

When I received the tree, the box was pretty beaten up to the point that the protective caps covering the 'trunk' of the tree sections were poking through the box and the protective caps were themselves, broken. The paper wrapping around the sections of the tree was torn in many places making me think it was not new. In fact, the paper seemed almost 'deteriorated'. The paper pretty much fell apart in my hands as I unwrapped the tree.

The tree itself did not appear damaged, but was not at all the quality that I expected from the description. The branches themselves were pretty 'real' looking, but they were sparse and far between. The instructions suggesting having the tree lights on as you put it together and arrange the branches. Well, of course, the lights were pretty and made it look fuller, but when the lights were off, it was pathetic looking. The artificial tree at the local pizza carryout looks better and it doesn't even have lights. No matter how much "fluffing" and rearranging of the branches I did, you could still see the ugly center pole. And, you could see a lot of it! I sent mine back because even Charley Brown would have laughed at this one.

On a positive note, I love shopping with Amazon. Amazon made it very easy for me to return the tree. They stand behind their customers. They gave me the return mailing label and arranged for pick up at my house with just a few clicks of my computer mouse. The biggest hassle was getting the ugly tree back in the beat up box and secured with enough tape to ensure it arrived back in one piece.

Guess we will be sticking with a 'real' tree for a while longer.

Why insult the traditional Christmas tree? The tips on this tree are very nice, but turning it upside down makes it a waste. And hanging it on the wall? If it were turned rightside up it would be half decent, but oh no, a new 'trend'. This is ugly and stupid. I just don't understand why people would want this crap...unless they like it. Oh well, whatever floats your boat. It's still ugly, though. Stupid too! UGLY! UGLY! UGLY! And, of course, STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! Oh, it is so UGLY and STUPID!!! Hope you enjoyed my review! Now, just for the heck of it, disagree.

Upside Down X-mas Tree
I replace my hanging pot rack with this. EVERYONE loves it..Hang icicles, ornaments, etc. GORGEOUS

Great tree...but VERY heavy!
I love this tree. It's so beautiful and realistic looking. The white frosting is not tacky at all, the pine cones completes the tree and makes it so much more realistic. The branches do hang low to the ground, but that will make it all the more fun for my kids to have to work to get to their gifts. Also, I think maybe you could manipulate the branches so they don't hang quite so low.

The only complaint is that the tree is SO HEAVY! My husband is currently deployed and there is NO WAY I can get it up to the attic by myself. I could probably get it down to the basement, but then the drudgery of pushing this heavy thing back up the stairs come time to put it up is daunting. Even putting the tree up alone is a little challenging and I'm no weakling.

I imagine the weight makes it more sturdy and durable, so I accept it, but it does make it difficult to store in an attic or to assemble alone. If not for the weight, I would rate this product a 5.

This tree is gorgeous
I bought this tree with the thought that we'd put we'd put it up next year (our other artificial tree was on its last legs). Well, this morning, Christmas, of course, 2 of those legs broke and crashbam! the elderly tree went horizontal. Once we cleaned up THAT little adventure, we couldn't resist putting up this new tree. It is LOVELY. All the lights worked just fine and it's incredibly easy to assemble. We did not find the frosting to be too much, and the pine cones are a really nice touch. I see this tree is currently unavailable. Hopefully it will be back in stock because it is a wonderful buy for the cost and looks terrific.

Way better than options in stores!
My mother and I toured all the usual shops, looking for a pre-lit tree: Home Depot, Sears, Target, etc. Nothing really caught our fancy. Then in desperation, we came across this tree when searching the web, and on the strength of the other reviews, we ordered it.

We were very pleased with it when we unpacked it and plugged it in. The flocking is a light, attractive dusting. The two kinds of white lights -- frosted and clear -- really light the tree up. I must admit that there is a darkish patch or two, but with a little judicious maneuvering, the patches can be turned around to the back side where no one can see them anyway.

The tree is heavy, but the stand is very secure, the branches look full and sturdy. Compared to all the cheap junk we saw at other stores, this is head and shoulders above them. Perhaps the only downside is that, as someone else said in a review, the branches start low to the ground so packing presents underneath isn't going to be easy.

However, with super-fast delivery (7 pm on the night before Thanksgiving) and easy-peezy assembly, I really think you can't go wrong with this product.

Very Happy With Mine - Great Tree for Price
I was able to get this tree on sale just after Christmas last year, and have just put it up for the first time. I am very happy with the tree. It has a very sturdy heavy weight construction, it was easy to assemble (though shaping the branches took quite a while - it is a very full tree with lots of branches), and the pre-lit lights nicely spaced and working fine. In the box besides the tree were a replacement lights/fuses kit, a light string tester, and a power strip. Though I don't think it would be worth the 9 list price, I am very happy with it for the price I paid. I have received nothing but compliments on it from everyone who saw it over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is a frosted tree, as others have mentioned, and has attached pinecones. I personally like this, it may seem like too much when you first assemble it, but when decorated this just gives it a little extra something and I didn't feel it was over done. I think the majority of people would be happy with this tree.
